The ‘Cornish Experience’ at Treasure Park
The Cornish Goldsmiths at Treasure Park launch new for the 2013 season the ‘Cornish Experience’.
The development offers the visitor an opportunity to enjoy the beauty, history, heritage, cuisine, fun and the fascinating culture that is life in Cornwall.
For many years Treasure Park have been carefully restoring the amazing machinery found on their grounds at Tolgus Tin.
These complex and fascinating tools once played a huge part in the process called tin streaming, and now working again, the process can be seen in action.
You can also visit the Redruth Town Museum at the Tin Streaming Mill and talk to experts on the history of mining in the local community.
Following your visit to the mill, why not try one of many delicious authentic dishes served at the Cornish Pantry Restaurant or maybe treat yourself to a hamper full of local Cornish goodies at Simply Cornish Hampers, ideal for that beach or coastal picnic.
A deep passion for the area can also be found in some of the amazing designs created at the Cornish Goldsmiths Jewellery Workshop where you can watch local craftspeople at work or select a piece from the stunning collection of jewellery at The Cornish Goldsmiths, Cornish Silver or Cornwall Pearl - a real chance to take away the memories of that beautiful and romantic trip to Cornwall.
There are also loads of great activities on park for children to enjoy; why not try Cornish Piskie Panning, the 4D Haunted Mine Ride or even create a new Cornish friend at our very own Bear Works.
There are also loads of fun displays, a pottery, and activities around every corner.
Treasure Park is still a free admission and free parking site which stretches over many acres of beautiful grounds all linked by twisting paths, quiet streams and water wheels.
