and friends. They also enjoyed learning about Punjabi culture at Haveli in Jalandhar, about four hours from Ludhia- na. An amazing opportunity fell their way when Dr. Kunal Jain invited them to attend his cousin’s wedding. They even were invited to join the groom’s extended family procession as they arrived with the groom on a white horse to meet the bride’s family at the wedding palace. The final leg of their tour took them to Agra where they saw the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Upon arriving home tour members have been sharing what they learned with their congregations, families and friends. Through a silent auction in their church Debbie and Jane from Albuquerque have raised over $4,000 for CMC.

Home Health Visits With Nursing Students

Opinion was unanimous that the best part of the recent Ludhiana Mission Study Tour was pairing up with nursing students for rural home health visits. During the visits the nursing students used flip charts to convey information about healthy diets, disease prevention and what to do when family members become ill. Equally enjoyable aspects of the study tour were worshiping with students and staff on Sunday morning in the College Chapel, learning about the chaplaincy program, visiting with Director Dr. Abraham Thomas in his office, listening to Dr. Harinder Bedi tell about his Sikh faith and hearing from the Principal and Vice Princi- pals of the Dental College about the impressive rural out- reach ministry of the Dental College. Their mobile dental clinic leaves the campus 15 times a month to serve the needs of village people.
