Renting or buying expensive linens can get pricey. Think about choosing your own fabrics and making table- cloths for the head table, gift table, or food table. Coordinating fabrics can also be draped from the ceiling as decoration.
Yellow! the details
Weddings are priceless, but not expensive. As photographers, we have attended many weddings. Some brides spend a whole lot of money, while other brides are smart in the way they spend and their decorations still look great, if not better. Plus, DIY weddings are more meaningful because of the investment of time and shared memories with the bridal party and families.
Nowadays, themed weddings are trendy, but you don't always have to go that direction. One thing to narrow options down a bit is to start by picking a few colors, like the yellow and grey in these photos. You'll easily be able to find decorations and detail items in yellow and gray without having to invest extra money and time to paint the items.
There are some advantages to shaving costs off of floral arrangements by going artificial. Artificial flowers can be found in any color, any time, any season. They cost less, they photograph well without dying halfway through the day, and they can be kept at your house as both a keepsake memory and beautiful decoration.
Small picture frames can be found at a dollar store and are the perfect way to label food tables. Picture frames can also be used to label table numbers, where every table's frame holds a number and a photo of the bride and the groom at that age. Use a gorgeous frame and bulletin board to pin your seating arrangements.
While wedding cakes never go out of style, many couples are choosing to give their dessert a more personal flair. Offer your favorite sweets. Display them in vases of various sizes from
save-on-crafts.com or your local craft store. For added texture, use glue to wind colored yarn around a vase (especially the old, ugly one!).

Look around your own house for pieces that may be useful at your wedding. This couple used a small wooden cabinet which is both beautiful and functional, holding butter for the roles. These pieces could also be your something old or something borrowed, especially to bring a little indoors to your outdoor wedding.

Sometimes dads wish they could be more involved in the planning proc- ess. Perhaps you have male relatives who enjoy working with their hands. Put them into action building a tiered cupcake centerpiece or cake stand.
