The following seven lots relate to the career of J E Greenwood the England rugby international captain and later President of the RFU


502 Two autographed dinner menus relating to England v France rugby internationals, the first hosted by the French Rugby Union at the Palais D’Orsay, Paris, 8th April 1912, signed by Greenwood to the front cover; the other by the RFU at Oddenino’s Imperial Restaurant, Regent Street, London, 31st January 1920, bearing two unidentified autographs to the back cover; sold together with a Hockey Association dinner menu for the 1913 England v France international in Cambridge, extensively autographed inside (3)


The following lots were originally in the ownership of John Eric Greenwood of Cambridge University who won 13 England international rugby caps between 1912 and 1920, a total that would have undoubtedly been far higher had it not been interrupted by the First World War. He later became President of the Rugby Football Union. £200 - 250
