was launched in 2010 to recognise andencourage innovation within the residential leasehold sector. This year,ARMAhas adjusted the emphasis of the award to focus on
thecoreaim of thetrade body’s ARMA-Q project: tomake life better forpeoplelivinginblocks of flats. The award has been
independentlyjudgedby a consumer-focused panel comprising representatives fromtheFederationofPrivate Residents Associations (FPRA), LeaseholdLifeand Flat Livingmagazine - so the winner is beinggiven asuperb
endorsementwhich they will be able to show to theircurrent andpotential clients. The winner will be announced at theconferenceon11October where they will receive a trophy, certificate and a unique logo to promote themselves as recipients of thefirst ARMA-QAward. As Flat Living went to press, the judgeswerestill deliberating and detailsofthe winnerswillbe published in the next issue.

Anchor, England’s largest not- for-profit provider of housing andcarefor olderpeople, has signedadealthatgives itsprivate residentsthe option to sell their property through Retirement Homesearch(RHS).RHS,which claims to be theUK’s largest retirement estateagency, will marketpropertiesand progress sales on behalf of Anchor’s 6,000 leasehold properties. Sellers’ properties will feature on theRHS website-which

gets 2,000,000 pageviews peryear-and leadingsales websites including Rightmove, PrimeLocation andthe Elderly Accommodation Counsel. RHS also offers a package of
relocation services including removals andconveyancing. Last yearRHSsoldalmost 1200 properties andisset to beat this figure in 2012. DebbieMatusevicius,Anchor’s
