STN EXPO KUDOS On behalf of the Office of Head Start National Centers, Debra
Drake and I want to express our gratitude for your generosity. Giving us the opportunity to attend this year’s STN Expo allowed us to absorb important information and make some valuable contacts. Since both OHS and STN are concerned with the safety of children, it was a terrific forum to exchange information. We hope we can keep all avenues of communication open to ensure the safe transporting of children to and from Head Start and Early Head Start.

I wanted to drop a note congratulating you all on another
successful STN Conference. In my opinion, this was one of the best and most productive STN conferences that I have ever par- ticipated in (and I have participated in them all). Te quality of the attendees seemed to have been brought up to a new level. Te STN IndustrySOCiAL event also was a huge success. Again, congratulations on another great conference and with the intro- duction of the IndustrySOCiAL event. — Paul Baczewski, Webasto Product North America, Inc.
I attended the STN EXPO in Reno this year for the first time. I
was impressed and overwhelmed at the amount of information available to me. Tanks for all your hard work. I benefited greatly. — John Williams, Transportation Coordinator E Center Head Start, Marysville, Calif.
FAIR AND BALANCED Nice job on the social networking/bullying article in your July
issue (“School Bus Incidents Going ‘Viral’ an Unintended Con- sequence of Social Networking,” page 34). Too often journalists make explosive headlines based solely on what the parent tells them, without knowing all the information, while the fact that we can’t comment comes across as an indication of guilt. We ap- preciate the balanced coverage. — Brenden Clifford, Huntington Coach
POSITIVE RESULTS Tank you for the excellent article in your August issue re-
garding the Blue Bird Next-Generation Propane Vision (“A New Vision,” page 44). You really captured the importance of the testing process, along with Joe Tompson’s and ROUSH CleanTech’s feelings behind what they do. I truly enjoyed your thorough research.
