Every household in Torfaen has received an electoral registration form asking for the names of all eligible electors living there.

Names entered on the electoral register will be eligible to vote at forthcoming elections, credit reference agencies also use the electoral register and therefore it can affect your credit rating.

The forms are pre-printed with the details of electors currently registered at each property. If the details are incorrect, amend and return the form immediately. If the information is correct, residents can register by using the telephone/internet (free) or SMS (small charge). All elector details are clearly displayed on the form. The election of the police and crime commissioner will take place on 15 November, if you are not registered you will be unable to vote. If you haven’t had an electoral registration form, email voting@torfaen.gov.uk call 01495 762200, visit any council office, or download a form from www.torfaen.gov.uk/ CouncilAndDemocracy
