Beginnings July - September 2012
For the Daks Publishing Inc. team, it began with an upscale visitor magazine, Concierge’s Image, which was delivered to our community in 1992. It is 20 years later and our Daks team has been called to travel down a new path; our journey is taking us along a road to provide a magazine that will help the residents in our community lead fuller lives. Welcome to our first issue of Beyond the Gates, a magazine to inform, encourage, and inspire.
We are in different times all around. Life is such
an amazing journey with peaks and valleys, highs and lows. Isn’t it what we do with the journey that is so very important? As Ralph Waldo Emerson puts it, “Life is a journey, not a destination,” and “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
We are blessed, within our community, to have so many Shining Lights, people that do amazing work for the good of others. We also have neighbors that will inspire and encourage us beyond our imagination. There are local businesses and local professionals who will help with our health and our homes, our hearts and our souls. Our community is rich with those who will truly show what we are capable of, what is within us all.
Journey along as we begin a fresh new approach to information delivery in Beyond the Gates.
Remember, always keep your faith, prayers work, and miracles really do happen!

We want to hear from you - our readers!
Ghandi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world...” Consider this. Isn’t it true that only if we are heard, can we effect change around us. Be a part of our transformation; let us know your thoughts. We welcome your feedback, suggestions, and - most importantly - story ideas. It is not about I or me; it is about we - the community.
