Rise to the Young Entrepreneur challenge in the Thames Valley

A great deal has been written over the past three years (roughly the same length of time that the Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur competition has been running) about the difficulties being faced by young people in this country – the lack of jobs, university places - and support to do much about it

If you’re a young entrepreneur, however, you’ll know that there isn’t much point moaning about it – it’s down to finding the ambition and drive within yourself to make it, no matter what.

This may sound grand but look at the people who have done just that – and they aren’t just the Richard Bransons and Alan Sugars of this world – they include many, many people who have made a successful living fulfilling their business dreams.

Entrepreneurs put in the hard work and learn how to overcome the obstacles in their way – no one said it would be easy but it can bring immense rewards.

If you live or work in the Thames Valley (Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire) and have been running a business for over a year, why not start your proactive approach by entering the 2012 Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards?

The competition is free to enter and is open to anyone who is 35 or under. If this doesn’t apply to you, you might know someone who would benefit from the opportunity.

Everyone who enters the competition can become a member of Nigel Botterill’s Entrepreneur’s Circle and, whether or not you become one of our five semi-finalists, or the overall winner, you gain benefits: the simple process of putting together a business case to present to others and persuade them that you’re a worthy entrant will definitely help you to grow your business skills.

The winners get a year’s free mentoring from a hugely experienced partner from Haines Watts - everything from helping you to make a case to your bank for money to grow your business, to how to control your daily costs. They also receive valuable PR and some useful prize money.

In this Olympic year, will you rise to the challenge as a young entrepreneur?

The deadline for entry is July 31 2012 and we’re looking forward to hearing from you.
