What facilities are there to help with your Learning?
The Learning Resources Centre is there to help you to succeed with your studies and includes:
• Open Access IT • Flexible IT Courses • Learning Advisors • Learning Resources Library
Our friendly staff are here to help you at all times and to advise you on the wide range of learning resources we have available including journals, newspapers, CD-ROMs and video/ audio cassettes. The Library is open both during the day and some evenings.
Libraries and IT access
The College has its own library with a range of learning resources including IT and internet access. In addition to this, Debden Library (run by Essex County Council) is located in the College foyer.
Refreshments – Escape Restaurant
The main College cafeteria offers hot and cold drinks, hot snacks and sandwiches, fruit and salads.
The facilities are open from 8.00am – 2.30pm. The Coffee Pod in the street remains open until 5.00pm. Outside of these times vending machines are available.
Reception and security
The College has 24 hour CCTV surveillance. Security guards are supported by a reception service which is available until 8.30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings (term time). There is no reception service on Saturday. During College holidays, reception is open until 3.30pm.
No Smoking
The College has a no smoking policy except in the designated smoking area located in the car park at the rear of the building.
Car parking
The College has a large controlled car park for student use. There is disabled parking at the front of the College near the main entrance and outside the Art Block and Hair and Beauty Lounge. Cars and their contents are parked at their owner’s risk.

The College Environment Green Transport policy
The College has a Green Transport policy designed to minimise the environmental impact of student and staff travel and encourage changes that benefi t those at the College and in the surrounding community. More information about the opportunities this policy offers, including car sharing, cycling and public transport options please refer to the Notice Board in the reception area.
Recycling
The College is committed to recycling and encourages all students to take advantage of the recycling points throughout the campus. This initiative is supported by Epping Forest District Council who are working with the College to expand the scheme in line with demand which to date has been extremely high.
