Booking your place on a course
Please refer to the Enrolment and Application Forms in the middle of the guide. Course codes and what they mean
You will see that each course has a code. You will need this code when you complete your Form.
FL2 and FL3 – When you see this you may be able to claim fee remission – see page 6 and 7.
A Route A - Courses that require advice and guidance and an interview.
B Route B - Leisure courses that do not require advice and guidance and an interview.
C Route C - For Teacher Training Level 5 course only. Please call 020 8502 8722/8762 for an Application Form.
Roll on Roll off - You can join the course during the year.
TBA means ‘To Be Announced’ as the information was not available when this guide was printed.
We make every effort to ensure all details are accurate at the time of printing. Sometimes government funding policy results in changes to our published courses.
ID cards
All students require a current ID card to gain access to the College. If you attend College to enrol, this will be done at the same time. If you enrol over the telephone, once you receive receipt of your enrolment you can come to the College during security opening times to have your ID card printed. If this is not possible please allow extra time before the start of your fi rst class in order to have your ID card printed. Please ensure that you bring along your receipt of payment.
Exam fees
All course fees include exam entry charges where applicable unless otherwise stated. An additional exam fee is normally charged for students re-sitting exams.

Holiday Period:
Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 3.00pm Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm
FIRST AID 4 Student Advisory Service
The Student Advisors are able to provide you with solutions to practical problems you may have while at the College. The will also help with Grant queries and Financial Matters.
Learning Support
The College provides a full range of Learning Support services for all students. These are available to any student who requires extra support in order to reach their learning goals. Examples of support include:
• Communication support for the hearing impaired
• Special support for the visually impaired • Equipment and specialist aids to meet individual needs • Dyslexia assessment and support • Literacy, numeracy, linguistic support • (ESOL) • Support in exams • Mobility assistance
If you feel you need support with the above, discuss your needs at interview or with your tutor. Alternatively you can ring the switchboard on 020 8508 8311 or 020 8502 8749 so that we can provide you with the support at interview and beyond.

Epping Forest College takes seriously its responsibilities to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults by providing a safe learning environment and ensuring adequate arrangements within the College to identify, assess and support those young people or vulnerable adults suffering, or at risk of signifi cant harm. It is the responsibility of ALL staff working in the College to record and report abuse. If you are concerned for yourself or others then you can report this to any member of staff who will forward your concerns to one of our members of staff who are trained to support children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Comments
Epping Forest College is a learner-centred organisation where all learners are encouraged to participate actively in the life of the College. Our learners’ comments are key in helping us improve our quality and celebrate our achievements. We provide many ways of enabling you to deliver your comments to us. This can be in person, with confi dential help, through texting, email or by telephone. We also guarantee a quick receipt of your comments and a response within a 10 day period.
If you have a comment, compliment or complaint please complete a form or speak to any member of staff. Complaints are monitored and action plans put in place to eliminate the possibility of the problem happening again.
