Cricket forum A FORUM is being set up to help Bearsted residents settle their differences with members of the cricket club. The forum, chaired by Cllr
Paul Blackmore, will meet every two months during the cricket season. It will be open for anyone to attend but is aimed at residents who live close to The Green. Meeting times will be posted
on the parish website and no- tice boards. Cllr Blackmore said: “The
forum will allow residents to express concerns which would then be put to the cricket club.”

new parish event each year as well as ideas for maximising the income from events such as Music on The Green, the Farm- ers’ Market, playscheme and the firework display. The steering group will com-
prise Cllrs Paul Young, Michael Stark, Barbara Dunford and Geoff Licence. The council’s environment committee is to consider ways it can spread the cost of mainte- nance projects more evenly,

New councillor BEARSTED parish council has welcomed its youngest mem- ber, Cllr Tim Licence. Tim, the son of Cllr Geoff Licence and hiswifeWendy,has filled the vacancy left by Chris Dyke. Tim’s was the only nomination for the vacancy.
