How to enter: Have a photo taken of yourself, or of you with family and friends, having fun at your favorite Hampton hangout or landmark; the location could be the Hampton Coliseum, the Virginia Air & Space Center, Buckroe Beach, the Peninsula Town Center, Sandy Bottom Nature Park, or any


of the other cool places inside the city of Hampton. For more ideas for your photo location, log on to visithampton.com.


Once you have your “Show Your Love” photo, email it to photos@hamptonroadsmessenger.com with the subject “Show Your Love for Hampton Contest.” Please send photo captions with each submission, which should include names of persons in the image, the location in Hampton where the image was taken, your phone number and the name of the photographer (if different from the submitter).


The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 25th, 2012 and the winners will be announced in the June edition of the Hampton Roads Messenger as well as on hamptonroadsmessenger.com.

The photos will be judged on creativity and originality; the top 10 photos will be featured in HRM’s June edition, and all entries will be entered into a random drawing in which one lucky winner will receive 2 tickets to the 2012 Hampton Jazz Festival for Friday, June 22. The festival will take place over a three-day period at the Hampton Coliseum on June 22, 23, and 24, and will feature some of the greatest names in R&B, Soul and Smooth Jazz.

Contest Rules: The Show Your Love for Hampton Photo Contest, which is exclusively for Hampton Roads Messenger readers, is open to anyone in the U.S. Contestants must be 18 years old or older as of April 1, 2012. When submitting photography that includes people, the contestant is responsible for obtaining necessary releases from the individuals depicted and providing copies of those releases to the Hampton Roads Messenger upon request. Contestants may submit up to three separate photo entries; however, each photo should be of a different Hampton location.
