As an employee… If you are an employee, work- ing in the UK, aged 22-65, and earning above £5,564, you will be automatically enrolled in a scheme, unless you “opt out”, but this must be your choice, not your employers. Once in the scheme, you will have to contribute enough to make up your overall contribution ini- tially to 2%.


But be warned, the total amount which must be put in to the scheme rises quickly from 2% to 5% and then to 8% by 2018.
