Bodmin & Wenford Railway Discover the excitement and nostalgia of steam travel with a journey back in time on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, Cornwall’s only full size railway still regularly operated by steam locomotives.


Judy, which spent their working lives at Par Docks and bear a very close resemblance to Bill and Ben, the characters created by Rev. W. Awdry in the original Thomas the Tank Engine books.


Passenger train services operate throughout the year, and run daily from May 20 to October 5.


Trains operate daily from April 1-15 over the school Easter holiday period. The majority of services are steam hauled.


There will be a grand Easter Egg-stravaganza! on April 6-9, with a free Easter egg for all the children!


This will be an occasion to enjoy some of the railway’s smaller engines, including Alfred and
