Tragically,war seems to be a constantly recurring act of the human
race.As of 2012, theUnited States has been atwar for the past eleven years, long enough thatmany young peoplemay not remember a timewhen the countrywas not atwar. Lisa Peterson, the director and co-author of An Iliad, said that, as long aswar continues, the story of the Iliadmust keep being told.
