ACE program continues to educate in 2012 2012 ACE schedule of events
T
he Association of Arkansas Counties has enjoyed being involved in the continuing education pro- grams for five of our member associations during the last six months.
Te continuing education boards for county judges, treasurers,
circuit clerks, county clerks and collectors worked with us in de- vising a plan for the AAC’s involvement. What came to fruition is an arm of the AAC called the ARcounties Continu- ing Education Program (ACE). Te ACE Program is the coordinating and certify- ing body for these groups.
Once again, Te ACE program is a shining example of what col- lective efforts can accomplish in the realm of education among county officials.
Part of the AAC mission state- ment is to provide education to all of our members, and this was a great opportunity to be more involved in meeting your educational needs.
Our involvement comes in conjunction with the Auditor of State’s office, and this part- nership will continue to provide resources to the respective continuing education boards.
Brenda “Emmy” Emerson has done an excellent job in coordi- nating these continuing education seminars and workshops and we look forward to building on what she has accomplished.
Our ACE program is solid and enduring and this is just an- other step in the direction of providing services to our members that impact their roles in county government and helps us make county government better for the people of Arkansas.
