This unique production blends the drama of the children’s ballet, Peter and the Wolf, with the beauty of the wedding celebration from The Sleeping Beauty – Act III. Philip Broomhead, former ballet master with Houston Ballet, will stage the excerpt from The Sleeping Beauty; Michele Gifford, former principal dancer with New York City Ballet, will dance the role of Princess Aurora. Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, directed by Ann Etgenand Bill Atkinson, presents Coppélia, the funniest of the Romantic Ballets. First performed at the Paris Opera in 1870, this humorous classic has delighted young and old ever since.
