Saltaire is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its preservation as a model Victorian industrial village. Mill owner Sir Titus Salt built the village for his workers and today Saltaire attracts millions of visitors to its magnificent architecture and visitor attractions. A must see is Salts Mill, home to one of the largest collections of David Hockney’s work as well as cafés, restaurants and shops.


The dramatic surroundings of Ilkley Moor, with its panoramic views of the surrounding countryside provide a wonderful setting for the elegant spa town of Ilkley; recently named a Walkers are Welcome town. As well as fantastic walking Ilkley has excellent shops, restaurants and visitor attractions. Make sure you visit Bettys Café & Tearooms and the Manor House Museum.

Bingley Keighley (Brontë Country)

Keighley is ideal for a day out with its excellent attractions, green spaces and shopping. Jump on board the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, a steam train, which runs from Keighley to Oxenhope via Haworth. Also not to be missed is the Keighley Bus Museum, Museum of Rail Travel, Cliffe Castle Museum and East Riddlesden Hall, a National Trust property.

Close proximity to St Ives Park and the Leeds Liverpool Canal makes Bingley an ideal place for a stroll. Look out for Bingley Five Rise Locks, an 18th Century masterpiece and one of the most impressive locks on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Bingley also has a regular programme of events and highlights include Bingley Music Live and the Bingley Show. 07
