White Wells

White Wells houses two 18th century plunge baths. Although there has been bathing since the early 18th century, one of the baths can still be used by visitors to White Wells. Just ask in the Café for more details.


Open weekends and Bank Holidays all year round 10am-5pm and also when the flag is flying. Closed Christmas Day. Admission free.


Saltaire and Airedale

Salts Mill is set in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saltaire, and is great for a day out. Salts Mill houses one of the largest collections of David Hockney’s art as well as shops, cafés and restaurants.

Built by Sir Titus Salt in 1859 the church is a unique example of Italianate religious architecture and is now a Grade 1 listed building set within the World Heritage Site of Saltaire. Sir Titus Salt is interred in the Mausoleum.


Open: 1pm-4pm Sundays all year. Monday - Friday from April - September 2pm-4pm. Group visits and special times by arrangement with Len Morris.

This unique tramway was built in 1895 and operates narrow-gauge ‘toast rack’ cable-hauled trams. The tramway is a few minutes walk from Saltaire and there is a museum with memorabilia.
