An interview with Hans Henrik Ohlers: Designer, Sculptor, Genius Creator


Hans Henrik Ohlers is a genius creator. He’s an autodidact (self-taught) innovator, sculptor and furniture designer. He’s been self-employed since 2003 and is currently the proud owner of OHLERS DESIGN. http://www.ohlers.com


Where do you get your genius and creative ideas from?


I sense them energetically. And I sense them in my body (that part is about shapes and sensuality actually). In my best periods of productivity and creativity, I simply connect with LIFE, and have a wonderful, energetic, telepathic conversation on "what wants to happen"...


At some point I experimented with "listening to space", which I found immensely effective. It was like the room … or rather the space-volume of the room ... came to life, greeting me back, and we could have the most


wonderful telepathic conversation on a given project. Imagine me standing in a client’s work-place, having an energetic conversation with the living space there, about what design of furniture and practical disposition of the facility, would serve their career and lives to the fullest? In one term I could call that "Feng Shui", but it’s much more than that.
