As always, we have harnessed the skills of some top people to capture those special moments in time and our dedicated media team of 12 will be on hand round the clock to upload the photographs and videos to the website as and when new mate- rial arrives.

Event Circular ..

As usual there will be an event newsletter distributed via the Marshals to all competitors. If you have any interesting tales to tell, please contact us and get your story published. It can be anything from humorous to serious, captures to losses but whatever it is, we want to hear from you and share it with your fellow anglers.

Media coverage of the WCC is of paramount importance, and the exposure afforded to the competition is immense, thanks to those below and many, many others

The vision is clear at Richworth

Bait giant Richworth have followed up the very successful launch of their new interactive website with the purchase of their own film making equipment. The move will see the Richworth Cameras

on the banks of some of Europe’s top fisheries filming the companies’ consultants. Media manager Pete Wilson told us

“Film maker and Consultant Martin Bowler will help us over the summer and his advice and experience in this kind of work will be invaluable, we have loads of stuff planned in for this year already including making a film of our team of six anglers participation in the World Carp Classic and our plan is to be on the bank somewhere every two weeks. We now distribute to 19 different countries

and supply boilies to tens of thousands of anglers and with this form of media we will be able to get up-to-date material out to our consumers fast and efficiently”.

PV-TV

Over the years, PV-TV have formed an integral part of the WCC, filming many hours of TV footage, conducting interviews and capturing the essence of the event in all its glory from start to finish. This year is no different in that

respect, and once again the PV-TV crews will be on site, every bit as efficient as they have been in the past, to record those special moments in time, some of which will be uploaded and we will link to on the World Carp Classic website.

A truly global event

As the competition continues to expand year upon year, it continues to draw anglers from countries that have never participated previously. This, of course, creates further

global interest and international media attention. An example of that occurs yet again this year, as it did last year with the participation of the team from Australia and in 2009 with the inclusion of Japan. This time around it’s the turn of teams from Denmark and China to make their debut in the event. We would like to give these teams a special mention here and wish them well for the competition. Above all, we hope that you enjoy your time at Madine.
