by Leslie Martin The Honey Challenge Your Challenge, Should You Choose to Accept It: Wash Your Face with Honey At fi rst, it was just another food on my face.

Just a sticky-sweet slather of goodness that got rid of pimples, nearly completely erased my scars, and left my skin feeling like a baby’s fresh new bottom. But the more I rubbed that gooey, golden nectar over my cheeks, the more real the situation became. It wasn’t just about beating pimples and beauty; it was about an entire circle of creation that existed, in some small way, just to serve my needs. It was earth and rain and fl owers and bees, all in a climactic orchestra of perfection that fi nished with a crescendo on my face. One night, I got it. And for as overly dramatic as it sounds, it was good. And it wasn’t just me that got it. Oh no. After fi nding out how effective it is to wash your face with

honey, I submitted a challenge to my blog readers – for two entire weeks, wash your face with honey and water. Period. Over 350 women participated, and the notes still come pouring in about how incredible it is. So I pose the same challenge to all of you: For two weeks, wash your face with honey. Do not skip

a day. Notice the difference. And, each time you do, consider the bees. Consider the earth and rain, wind and fl owers that all culminated in the moment when you basked in the honey goodness. Then look in the mirror often, because you’re going to love it.

Before you get started with this ultimate honey challenge, though, there are a few things you should know.

Why You Want to Wash Your Face with Honey 1. It is anti bacterial and anti microbial. It will get off any lingering nasti ness that’s thinking about setti ng up camp on your face and creati ng pimples.

2. It is slightly drying which means it helps soak up any pimples or oiliness.

3. It is also incredibly moisturizing. Seems like a double standard, doesn’t it? But it’s true. Honey sinks into your skin and moisturizes like you wouldn’t believe. (Remember Cleopatra and her youthful milk and hon- ey baths?)
