In late spring we took ourselves off from live performing and went back into rehearsals and sorted ourselves out another recording session. This was the first time all four of us recorded together which meant a few days full of laughs, harsh words and a bit of ‘Simpsons Hit and Run’. These songs were to feature on our DEMO which was intended to be sent out to industry people and such. We never heard back from a single one but the songs were enjoyed by BBC Introducing, who play our songs quite regularly. They were also kind enough to come to one of our shows an interview us.


Once we got our DEMO CD printed and sorted we also printed up a handful of limited edition t-shirts for the release. These soon disappeared as well as all the CD’s which was great because we knew people had our music and could listen to it whenever they wanted. So when we got out of recording and designing CD covers we started booking shows again. We had been out of the circuit for a couple of months and already it was hard to build back up to where we were before. We also had forgotten that you really need to spread the shows out geographically and because we could drive then we decided to book for shows further afield.


With our mates all heading off to uni, anyone who was interested in the band we encouraged to promote for us, which turned out to be a great success, free entry to shows and a t-shirt go a long way. By October we landed ourselves a headline slot at ‘Cargo’ London and the turnout was great, down to a handful of our mates putting in the hours to promote and get people down to the show. That show has been the highlight of the band so far, having such a large audience, some of which wearing the band’s
