THE Needletones are a three-piece hailing from the South West, who over the past four years, have made a name for themselves performing the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who and Cream. Since their forming in the summer of 2007, the trio have racked up more than three hundred live shows.

Christopher Babbage, the bassist and lead vocalist, looks like a man straight out of 1969. He has a natural stage presence, with his powerful vocals, and enough energy to power a small village. He is also the best dressed of the three.
working musician since the age of 16. His playing, whilst versatile, has a sound deeply rooted in the late 60s. He is rarely seen without his fender Stratocaster, named for reasons known only to himself as Mr. Stevens. Although a complete Hendrix obsessive, he is also enjoying a successful career as a session musician. He demonstrates the finesse of a player far beyond his years.

Leigh Morley completes the trio, providing a bombastic performance on the drums, often including a thunderous John Bonham-style solo towards the end of the night.
For their next wave of shows, The Needletones will be performing a set which pays homage to the music of Jimi Hendrix. This is not to say a few of their infamous Led Zeppelin covers won’t sneak in.
