■ The big match Liverpool v Man City, Sunday November 27, Sky Sports 1/3D, 4pm
HIGH-fl ying Man City will have their title credentials tested this fortnight when they make the short trip to Merseyside to the home of Liverpool. Roberto Mancini’s men have impressed at home and away so far this campaign in building a commanding position at the top of the Premiership table. But while Liverpool have been markedly less consistent – often the hallmark of a newly-assembled team – they have shown their ability to rise to the big occasion, having already defeated Arsenal at the Emirates and taken points off Man United at Anfi eld this term. With both sides boasting plenty of attacking talent – City can call on the services of Dzeko, Balotelli, Augero, Nasri and Silva, Liverpool the likes of Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing – it’s shaping up to be a cracker for the neutral.

Killie look for home comfort
RANGERS take on Kilmarnock this weekend with off the fi eld matters continuing to cloud the Ibrox club’s future. The Gers would clearly love
a repeat of their last visit to Rugby Park, when a 5-1 victory ensured the Light Blues retained the SPL title. If current form is anything to go by a similarly one-sided contest could ensue, with Killie having been thrashed 6-3 by Inverness in their last home match. Yet it might not be a bad time for the Ayrshire side to meet the Ibrox club: Rangers are arguably much weaker without the infl uential Steven
Naismith, the former Killie favourite who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury. The televised action will also see Dundee United face Celtic. In other SPL action this coming fortnight, Motherwell take on Hibs with the Edinburgh side still searching for a new manager as this section of SLTN went to press. In the EPL, the cameras will take in Stoke v Blackburn, Swansea v Aston Villa and Liverpool at home to Man City this weekend. There are also some intriguing ties in the Carling Cup, including Arsenal’s home tie against
Will Arsenal’s Theo Walcott face City?
Man City – it will be interesting to see whether Arsene Wenger sticks with his young Gunners or wheels out the big names to face the league leaders.
Liverpool will need Suarez to hit form.
