We pause to reflect the significance of their leadership to our lives today. From the very beginning, God’s divine hand has been guiding the life and work of the Church of God In Christ through great men of faith, courage and spiritual commitment.

The history of our


Founder and Chief Apostle is very well known. From the humble beginnings of his birth on the Pryor Farm near what is now Bartlett, Tennessee, to becoming the leader of the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States and one of


the largest in the world, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason is known throughout the Nations. What began in a three state region is now, literally, in 60 nations. To God be the Glory! Bishop Mason’s deep commitment to God catapulted him to higher heights in God. Bishop Mason was known as a deeply spiritual man, devoted to prayer and fasting and seeking the will of God for


his life and the life of those who followed. From 1907 to his earthly transition in 1961, Bishop Mason led with a sense of connection to the God of our salvation.


Inspiration Today certainly honors the memory of our beloved Founder and Chief Apostle, as well as the other six men who have lead and are leading the Church of God In Christ. What a tremendous blessing it is to have only had seven leaders in 107 years!
