The Exceptional And

This recently renovated River Oaks home was designed by celebrated architect O’Neil Ford and built by Brown & Root in 1970.

The exterior, with its vertical rectilinear forms, has a balance of

Huntingdon :: 77319404 River Oaks, $4.2 Million simplicity and stateliness. The windows,

chimney, walls, even the landscaping exude architectural appeal and order — making one eager to experience the interior as well.

Rectangular and square patterns repeat throughout the home, giving it rhythm and consistency. The square pattern in the courtyard tile is reflected in the windows lining the engaging outside area.

Lighting has been carefully considered and creates a sense of balance as a result of the various sources. Uncomplicated yet well-planned, the

light washes

freely into the courtyard. Inside, the rectilinear theme continues with the windows, art niches and bookcases. The combination of lighting sources — artificial, natural, ambient, task and general — enhances the space, giving it warmth and interest.
