Y9 Faith Forum looks at 'The Body'

This year’s Faith Forum, hosted by the RE department, looked at the ways in which different religions perceive the body and its importance for our spiritual lives. The day began with a keynote speech from Simon Cohen, of ‘global tolerance’ – a PR company with a conscience – then followed a range of discussions and workshops led by representatives from the major world faiths. This included, amongst others, David Weston, an associate of the Buddhist Triratna order; Rabbi Debbie Young- Somers, Associate Rabbi at West London Synagogue and Geetha Maheshwaran from Shree Ghanapathy Temple, Wimbledon. It was an interesting and enlightening day for our Year 9 students.
