It smells different. Sharper. More jolting. There is a cool and gentle breeze. A mere foretaste that Autumn may actually be here. Was it not just yesterday we were splashing in the pool, and drinking ice water just to stay cool? Yes, today was a foretaste of Autumn: and I liked it.I want to buy mums in vibrant col- ors of yellow and red.I want to bake sweet breads early in morning to take the chill out the kitchen. I want hear the crunch of leaves under my feet as I walk , under a cool azure sky. I want to pretend that winter does not follow Autumn.

Autumn can have so many different meanings. A time of harvest

and abundance; a time of storing and saving for the long winter season ahead. A time of festivity and reunion. But most of all, Au- tumn means colored leaves: a spectrum of shades between the green shades of summer and the dull browns of winter. Crimson, fiery red, maroon, ruddy orange, pure orange, yellow orange, soft yellows and bright yellows. Each deciduous tree, each bush, strutting its own autumn wardrobe. Naked willows dancing in the wind. In their midst, the smug conifers stand. "Evergreen," they say to us, "ever green." Watching the season change, engen- dering days of joy and days of melancholy .

The spectrum of creations and mini albums we have on pa- rade for you, will no doubt inspire you. From baby to weddings and simple days in between the artistic creations that we have found for this issue are second to none.

“Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past; for human events ever resemble those of preceding times. This aris- es from the fact that they are produced by men who ever have been, and ever shall be, animated by the same passions, and thus they necessarily have the same results.” Machiavelli . So this month we celebrate the men and woman that have shaped our world, our life, in one way or another.

Continue If you dare . Feel the chill down your spine like the chilling hand of a zombie running on your bare skin. Witches and warlocks running through your town. Ghastly stares from mon- sters and pirates, lions and tigers and bears. The very pres- ence of the dead raising and walking amongst us The skies dark and blackened as a Raven rests on the crooked fence. Yes Halloween is near. Frightful and Delightful the projects and layouts we have in store are truly boo-tiful . Enjoy & see you next month !
