ookings are now being taken for the Awards Dinner at the Hilton, Newcastle, taking place on Sunday 9th October. We've moved back to this beautiful venue due to popular demand. Please visit the Awards website for further details and to book online (
www.masterphotographyawards.co.uk). We are currently re-styling the MPA website, to make it more 'public friendly', with an emphasis on weddings and portraits, whilst not forgetting our commercial photography members. This is to en- able easier searching and navigation for those who are looking for a wedding, portrait or commercial photographer. To this end we are putting in place the first of our new image searching systems: Wedding 'MatchMaker', for qualified members only. The programming for this is complete and we now require your images. See the details in this issue and please get involved. This is another free benefit of membership and will genuinely help with marketing your wedding photography business. Once this has been launched we'll then be looking at enhanced search systems for portraits and commercial images. – Colin Buck, CEO

The A&F judging followed immediately after the annual awards judg- ing in order to be most cost efficient with the attendance of judges. The Awards took three days to judge, with the final day lasting a Westminster-style 15 hours. Some 600 merit awards were given for entries reaching a certain standard – the great number ever.
