A genuine family environment at Angels ANGELS
Harry Arnold (pictured) is often recognised in the street by people with reason to be grateful for his kindly
nature at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
Harry has been involved in the funeral business for the past 20 years, with fifteen of them as a funeral director in Maidstone and the surrounding areas.
Now he has joined Rafael Lear- month, a former colleague, who has set up his own funeral home in Coxheath where the old Martins newsagents used to be, next to Nat West bank.
Both men have a clear vision of their role in the community which, in Harry’s words, is “quite simply to offer help and guidance to anybody in their time of need”. “Angels offers totally independent family funerals and, of those words
the key one is family,” said Rafael. “The word family relates to the community and is for the community. The people who require our services are the people that become part of that family. Angels belongs to all those people who need help at that most precious time.”
Harry will be the main funeral director and is also going to manage the business alongside Rafael. “We are supplying a service to the community and its families. We are here to meet each individual’s wish whenever possible and treat them as if they are our family,” stated Harry. "I have always wanted people to be treated how I was treated, as part of a family with whom you have a proper relationship.”
Rafael, who has been in the funeral trade in Maidstone close to five years, has been delighted with the friendly response he has received from the community. Angels is expected to open in September.
