Peter Woytuk, an artist and foundry owner, has had similar experiences with automated foam carving. While Woytuk’s creations and clients span a full creative range, some of his most impressive works are truly monumental. The logistics and challenges of creating these pieces had also been monumental, but as he


explains, automated foam carving offered the solution. “Enlargements can now be made quickly and with complete accuracy – so all of our customers seem to be pleased. From a business perspective, we don’t have to bother with the labor intensive work that came with our old processes, so our productivity and efficiency have also improved. And because we can do all of our enlargements in-house, we maintain control and aren’t dependent on external partners. All things considered, it’s really a win-win situation for our clients and for our business”.


Despite these kinds of benefits, the traditionalist in some of us might cringe at the thought
