The 2011 National Boat Show & Dive Expo, which took place at Joburg’s Coca-Cola Dome from August 12-14 was all about excitement for thrill-seekers looking for the latest water-borne high.

headed to the show. “Diving is equal parts recreation, meditation and exploration,” says Scubapro’s Rhys Couzyn, who was among the experts hosting informative talks
about various aspects of diving at the Dive Expo. “Whether you’re looking for something to fun to do with your friends and family, a means to step out of your usually crazy world for a while or the opportunity to commune with nature on a one-to-one basis, then you probably already know that scuba diving is for you,” he adds.
On Saturday, August 13 and
Sunday, August 14 at the Dive Expo, many visitors atended the free and successful Divestyle workshops to find out more about the wonderful world of scuba diving. Couzyn facilitated an in-depth discussion on the gear required for technical diving, and the pros and cons of the various components. New equipment such as
