I’ve enjoyed working with the festival for two reasons, one because of its international connections; two, its commit- ment to uplifting the youth with scholarship programs, and children’s corner.” The festival is anticipated to have a great turnout, and hopes to reach many people, introduce them to Caribbean culture and expand their global horizons. As the em- cee of the festival, Hopeton Brown would also like to see support from the local Carib- bean community. “If you are not going to appreciate your culture, who is going to ap- preciate it for you?” He said. “If you appreciate what you have, then you’ll share it.”
