Four-star accessibility


The 45 bedroomed four-star St Moritz Hotel & Spa, Trebetherick, Cornwall, has officially launched its accessibility suite. The bedroom suite includes low level storage, a bed to bath hoist, emergency drop cords, body drier and Clos-o-Mat Lima Lift height adjustable ‘wash and dry’ toilet, plus a separate room for the guest’s carer if required. Beyond the accessible suite, the hotel is providing a wet wheelchair and dipper to provide easy access to and enjoyment of the spa and pool in the leisure complex. The wall-hung Clos-o-Mat Lima Lift is manufactured in the UK, by Total Hygiene. Controls in the integrated arm supports enable the toilet to be raised or lowered to the easiest height for the user; flush pads strategically positioned in the cistern enable the user to use hand or body pressure to trigger the flushing, douching and drying processes, eliminating the need to twist and bend to manually cleanse (or be cleaned) with toilet tissue. A ‘Mark’ of solid design


The Design Guild Marks are given by the Furniture Makers Company and recognise and reward excellence in the British design of furniture in volume production.
