Fareham’s new Debenhams store opens this month.

Seán Woodward, executive leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: ”I’m extremely proud of the fact that Fareham, as a market town, meets the needs of a large store such as Debenhams to bring in such an exciting department store.

”The fact that so many local jobs have been created locally is superb for the economy with some of the staff welcoming a position closer to home.

I

very much look forward to Debenhams opening its doors to the public.”

Added Pam Marsden, Fareham Shopping Centre director: ”News has been eagerly awaited about the different departments Debenhams will be bringing in.

There is keen interest in which beauty houses and fashion labels we can expect in town.”

Plans are on track for the opening on June 16, which should bring more shoppers into Fareham.
