Yoga Training Offered at Happehatchee Y
oga instructors seeking to expand their credentials or enthusiasts wanting to
deepen their knowledge can attend the Happy River Yoga Teacher Training Im- mersion at the Happehatchee Center, in Estero. Teacher and personal trainer Alan Lowenschuss, MA, E-RYT, will lead the 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 17 through July 8. For the last six years, Lowenschuss has taught group and private classes in Philadelphia and Naples. His style of teach- ing is a blend of yoga, martial arts and dance movements from ashtanga, iyengar and the Afro-Brazilian art, Capoeira. Before he began his yoga training a decade ago, Lowenschuss was a competitive runner, but found he was missing the flexibility, focus and calm strength that a regular yoga practice offers. He was also drawn to the philosophy and deeper principles of yoga that inform his life and teaching.
