may have begun life in Milton Road, Walthamstow,in1949, its connections with the art and craft of woodturning goes back to the early 1920’s, when five brothers set up Nichols and Nichols. The company flourished thanks to the East London furnituretrade up until the outbreak of World WarII, and although business started to pick up after the war,two of the brothers, Stanley and Arthur Nichols, decided to form their own company,Nichols Brothers (Woodturners) Ltd.
