This project, and site-specific art exhibition is a collaboration with the Ullus Collective, a partnership that will feature up and coming Syilx, and Okanagan artists creating new artwork for an online and on-site series of art exhibitions starting in March 2011 and following through to October 2011.

Culture is the fabric of the community – the web that brings us all together, and the further we engage in the community, the more people are connected, the richer we become by learning from our experiences. Arts are essential to the health and happiness in a community, which is just one reason why artists have always been driven to create works, to engage dialogue, and to help build community.

COMING FEBRUARY 4 – MARCH 19, 2011

Windows - Sue Bizecki Sue Bizecki challenges viewers to consider what it means to own a home. Windows, features a documentary style video relaying personal stories that record the history of development specific to the Okanagan. The video is projected on the gallery floor where it takes a three- dimensional shape on a screen formed using multiples of a miniature white paper home.
