14 The RV Park, Vagabundos Del Mar, located in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, has been around for many years. Situated close to town (walking distance), Snowbirds have flocked here from the time the park first opened. Some stay all winter, others for only a few nights.
In the beginning, Vagabundos Del Mar - the travel club - owned and operated the park, including the restaurant and pool. But for some time now it has been owned independently. As recently as two years ago, the Vagabundos del Mar Trailer Park Restaurant was established and is now operated by Peter Cashmore and Joe de la Borbolla.
Peter is a Canadian who has resided on Baja in Mexico for many years. In previous years, Peter owned and operated a Security Company in British Columbia which he later sold. Joe is a Mexican who also resides on Baja and was one of the original players in the restaurant chain known as Carlos and Charlies. Both Joe and Peter previously resided at the RV Park in San Jose

del Cabo, Brisa Del Mar, when it was closed suddenly and all residents were evicted so the establishment could be redeveloped about five years ago. To date, that hasn’t happened. Hence Peter and Joe moved to Vagabundos del Mar as permanent residents.
Although the restaurant has always been in the park, it has never been the centre of attention as it is today. Peter and Joe have done an outstanding job creating a sports bar atmosphere with their high definition televisions and fabulous menu that includes Dinosaur Soup, a Taco Platter to die for and Joe’s BBQd Ribs that are cooked by Joe himself. Every dish served at this eatery is simply “muy ricco”, we can assure you. Patrons from around Los Cabos frequent this establishment on a regular basis and this number escalates annually as word gets out and the positive reviews build. Their success is based on the fact they really care about the patrons. They have a great five-star chef, the staff are very helpful and courteous, and their prices are exceptionally reasonable. What more could an RVer ask for? Great food at a reasonable price, watching your favourite sport in the palm trees with warm tropic breezes in January. This is one of our favourite stops for sure when we are on or off tour.
