Kings Hill worker died in hit-and-run


A21-YEAR-old Kings Hill worker died after being struck in a hit-and-run crash in Ibiza, an inquest heard.


Francesca Foulkes, who had been working at


Cabot Financial for two years and lived in Wig- more, Gillingham, died last July as she walked back to her apartment at about 2.30am after a night out in San Antonio. The inquest in Maidstone heard that Francesca


– known as Fran – and her friend, Jessica Read, were holding hands as they walked towards on- coming traffic, trying to find a way onto the pave- ment between parked cars. As one car drove towards them at speed, Jessica tried to pull Francesca in but she was thrown

A NEW club is being launched in Leybourne aimed at provid- ing lively activities for the over 50s.


The Kent Active Retirement Association (KentARA) already has 80 clubs throughout the county with nearly 12,000 members. The nearest existing clubs are atWest Malling, Lark- field, Kings Hill and Ditton. Anyone who is retired or semi-retired and over the age of 50, is welcome.

ficer Kevin Henty contacted the Institute of Direct Marketing that morning, and by the after- noon, the school was set up as a mini exam centre. The institute emailed the ex- amination to Mr Henty who su- pervised while Mrs Bromley sat the paper.
