How do we know if we are succeeding in our Sunday School? Outward indications are numerical growth, excited attendance, and creation/addition of new classes and staff. Yet the inward indicator of success is that we are seeing lives dynamically changed by the mighty Word of God as it is taught week after week in the setting of Sunday School. This is the key; this is the goal; and this is the end result of Matthew 28:19,20. Sunday School has the two-fold responsibility to teach to win; and teach to send. In other words, Sunday School evangelizes and disciples through the taught Word.
 Whenever goals are reached in the Sunday School, celebrate the accomplishment among the church. But immediately set new goals and directions and go for them.
 Whenever new people and/or classes are added to our Sunday School, celebrate the success. Yet be ready to love the new people and build up the new classes.
 Whenever people are saved, let us celebrate with great joy. But let us immediately take the responsibility of discipling and nurturing these new “little ones” in the Lord.
 Whenever we think outside of the box and try something dynamically new, and it succeeds; let us celebrate. Yet if it does not succeed, let us have the courage and common sense to “chunk it” and go to something else.
 Whenever lives are changed and hearts forgiven, let us celebrate. But let us not forget to thank God and give Him the glory and the honor He desires.
