REACHING PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY
 Identify Prospects: 1. Encourage members to invite unchurched family members and unchurched friends. 2. Secure information on members’ friends and family, vistors, and others who have attended.
3. Survey specific neighborhoods via phone or door-to-door. 4. Select target groups for whom to focus ministry efforts.
 Motivate & Equip Church Members & Sunday School Staff to reach out to unchurched 1. Plan group activities in terms of how an unchurched person would view them. 2. Have staff and members pray for and invite unchurched family members and friends. 3. Offer age-level instruction to staff & members on how to reach out to the unchurched. --Building friendships --How to invited someone to church --How to share your faith
 Periodically plan events designed to specifically attract the unchurched.  Clearly and attractively present opportunities to receive Christ.
 Follow-up on individuals who accept Jesus Christ 1. Provide age-appropriate materials to the new Christian. 2. Assign a mature Christian to personally follow-up on the new Christian WITHIN 24 HOURS.
3. Encourage church leaders to find ways to include the new Christian into the life of the church.
REACHING PEOPLE WITHIN THE CONGREGATION  Identify people in the congregation who do not attend Sunday School
 Discover the reasons why these people do not attend Sunday School 1. Mail/distribute a survey form stating a desire to better meet needs of the congregation. Invite people to indicate why they do not attend and under what circumstances they would attend.
2. Conduct phone interviews asking their help in improving church ministries, i.e. Sunday School.
3. Conduct personal interviews with nonattenders asking for their help.  Explore program/structure changes in light of the surveys and interviews.
