state energy audit of the Voorhees Police Department, Spellman said. The state offers grants to all municipalities in the state for en- ergy audits of township build- ings, he said.


After the energy audit is com- pleted, Spellman said Voorhees must pay an equivalent of 25 per-


cent of the suggestions for the building. If the audit costs $10,000, he said, the township must pay for $2,500 of the energy- saving suggestions. The township also welcomed a


new police officer to its ranks as it swore in a new part-time, Class II officer, Robert R. Wells. Chief Keith Hummel approved the offi- cer for the position.
