Conveyancing Association is launched


As lenders continue reducing the number of conveyancing firms on their


panels without consultation, a new trade association warns that this move poses the greatest single threat to the future of the conveyancing industry in the UK. The Conveyancing Association (CA) brings together leading conveyancing companies to shape the debate on major issues in the industry. Edward Goldsmith, Chairman says, “Restricted lender panels are a huge threat, putting all conveyancing businesses at risk. We want to facilitate conversations with lenders and third parties on behalf of reputable firms that put conveyancing at the heart of their business.” Edward also noted possible

The Conveyancing Association is the only trade body that specifically represents the interests of UK conveyancing firms. 14 of the largest conveyancing


operations are already on board and are represented in industry focused groups. Membership is varied, with international, national, regional and local firms spread across every region in the UK, including Optima Legal, My Home Move, Goldsmith Williams, Shoosmiths and Eversheds LLP.


MEDIA Savills go for Euro TV


CNBC, the leading pan-EMEA business and financial news channel, and Savills have entered into an exclusive agreement to promote luxury properties for sale from around the world.


CNBC will produce and


create profiles on behalf of Savills of their top properties, highlighted in 60 second commercial vignettes that will air on CNBC in Europe, the Middle East and Africa during prime programming from 18 October. Savills will create a new


website, www.savills.tv to host all the video and provide more details for prospective buyers. In the first agreement of its


type, CNBC will benefit financially from the number of referrals generated and a share of the sale of each featured property. Precise terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Auction House held its first auction in Manchester on 21 October, at the Mercure


Manchester Norton Grange Hotel. The latest company to join Auction House is Ryder & Dutton covering Greater Manchester, North Derbyshire and West Yorkshire. The company is a long- established firm of chartered surveyors, with 13 estate agent branches and a full range of other professional departments.
