When I was 13, I had a bet with my mom: I promised her to study a lot to get good grades in exchange for getting a spider tattooed on my back. I gave all my best, and I became one of the best students in the class. She went to the tattoo parlour with me; the tattoo artist was pretty amazed. In those days it was not usual seeing teenage girls with tats.

began to know what I wanted from that moment; I’ve always been attracted to tattooed bod- ies, so I started to cover mine with them little by little.
My favourite style is Old School. Although most of the tats I got are in this style, some of them are just memories of my friends, family, hus- band... and travels I did. There’s a story to tell behind all of my tattoos. At first, my family didn’t agree with having my body covered with ink, as matter of fact, after that first inking my mom asked me to not have any more tattoos, even know- ing that I would have them again and again. Nowadays, everyone in my family knows me and accepts me as I am; even my mom got some tattoos, and she proudly shows off about her inked daughter!
Lots of people usually think that having your body tattooed may be- come a handicap in your day-to-day life, but I never had trouble finding a job. I always worked in places where your look was not judged. I currently work in a tattoo parlour, www.old-
timestattoo.com, and I also appeared as a model on TV, some magazines, calendars, etc. I think that, far away from closing doors to you, it shows
