don morton & tracy simPson
›› After two years of being en- trants in the Four Star Motor- sports Rallycross Championship hosted by Maple Leaf Rally Club and achieving some success, Don & Tracy wanted more of the excitement and thrills that Rallycross afforded them.
They found it necessary to kick things up a notch and Performance
Rally seemed to be the answer to their need for speed. In February of 2010 they purchased a 1993 Plymouth Laser AWD Turbo. Their first event was the 2010 Galway Cavendish Forest Rally, finishing
fourth in class and 15th overall. Their next challenge is the 2010 Rally of the Tall Pines. •

Pirate navigation rally team
›› After not finishing in any of the previ- ous Tall Pines, Hartl set aside his crying towel and vowed to break his "Bancroft curse" in 2010. Rejecting the critique
that he did not finish due to his driving errors, he conveniently started to blame his co-drivers for meverything that went wrong in the previous years. As a result, in a well thought through decision (otherwise known as a spur of the mo- ment decision), he called the famous Rally America, NASA and 2010 WRC Mexico co-driver Ben (Pirate) Slocum and persuaded him to co- drive at the Rally of the Tall Pines. In honor of Slocum risking his otherwise sterling reputation, the Pirate
Navigation Rally Team was born. Should Hartl not finish the rally again, he is open to admitting that co-drivers are not to blame. The car is. •
team manick
›› Team MaNick is an up and coming team consisting of Nicola and Massimo Narini as driver and co-driver. Although their combined age is only 42, they have over 20 years of racing experience between them, varying from go-karts, road racing, drifting and ice racing. Not only are they the youngest team competing in the Ontario Rally
Championship, they are also at the fore front of green technology, being the first Ethanol powered rally car in Canada. They are looking at taking their “green” Rally car to the top of the
podium with the fight for the OPRC championship coming down to the final round, the Rally of the Tall Pines. This will be a battle for the ages, with their rivals from Old School Mo-
torsports of Chris Martin and Phil Narini, the 2009 OPRC Champions, also in the hunt for the title. •

returning from his recent outing at Targa Newfoundland that showcased his co-driving capabilities with a hard fought first overall in a great rally.
