enFRA Ltd, the Doncaster-based robotics and automation expert, has announced that it is to divisionalise the company into key dedicated areas aimed at providing a more focused and specialist service to
manufacturers in the food and drink industry. The new divisions, CenFRA Assist, CenFRA
Simulations, CenFRA Solutions, CenFRA Bespoke and CenFRA Technical, were agreed by the company’s board of directors as part of a new strategy proposed by the new managing director, Steve Blazye, to clearly define the different areas of the business and to build on the company’s position as Europe’s leading centre of automation and robotic excellence. To support the new divisions and to compliment
the company’s existing range of services, CenFRA will now be recruiting engineers with the skills to help the company diversify into new markets and to provide improved support for existing clients. CenFRA Assist will continue to offer government-
funded audits and become the company’s shop window, first point of contact and hub of the new
business structure. n
This division will be responsible for the sales
function of the company, managing the distribution of enquires to supporting departments and providing new clients with the expertise to assess the suitability of any automated intervention for their manufacturing processes.
Showcasing CenFRA’s renowned technical
modelling capabilities and discrete event simulation will be a dedicated area of the business, CenFRA Simulation. Highly experienced engineers and state-of-the-
art simulation software will enable this department to accurately demonstrate all levels of factory activity, and with even more detailed virtual mock- ups, the effect on costs, production and efficiency of different automation scenarios. The CenFRA Solutions arm of the business will
largely deal with project management and be responsible for guiding customers from the audit and simulation stages through to implementation. This work will include writing up buying
specifications, liaising with equipment suppliers, supervising installations, training and maintenance. Giving businesses more flexibility and accuracy in
achieving exactly what they want from an automated process will be CenFRA Bespoke, which will offer companies the opportunity to explore automation solutions that are not currently available as off the shelf applications. A core part of CenFRA is its technical and industry
knowledge, which will be known as CenFRA Technical. This part of the business will also be responsible
for the company’s online learning programme, which has been set up in collaboration with the National Skills Academy. n
