Green is one of the most talented people


involved in


designing and building the world’s most advanced multirole fighter aircraft. Ms. Alva-Green’s job is to provide IT capa- bilities to engineering teams working to accomplish the flight testing and delivery of the F-35 to Lockheed Martin’s domestic and international customers.


Lockheed Martin addresses aerospace defense through the $12 billion Aero- nautics Company locations in Fort Worth, Tx; Palmdale, Ca.; and Mari- etta, Ga. The company is contracted to design and produce the F-22 Raptor Air Superiority, the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, the F-16 Multirole Fighter and the C-130J Hercules; to modify and sustain the C-5, C-141, C-130, F-117, U-2, S-3 and P-3 aircraft; and to develop advanced aircraft concepts.


Ms. Alva-Green leads the effort to ensure


delivery of IT capabilities to the group responsible for both software develop- ment and systems integration for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Program.


She is an active member of the Leader- ship Texas Alumnae Association, the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, the Hispanic Leadership Council Sup- port team, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Women in Technology International, the Society of Professional Engineers and SHPE.

hipra Gupta has led JC Penney technology teams to deliver large-scale IT projects. In her current role within the plan- ning and allocation application project, she leads the software and system development for a set of critical functions that are a key enabler of and competitive advantage to the JC Penney merchant community as it executes its current business plans. Shipra demonstrates excellent management skills with her team and colleagues.

Since she joined JC Penney as an IT manager within merchan- dise planning and allocation in 2007, she has taken on the development and support of several applications. And she has led an associate team and two separate on-site/offshore contracting teams in efforts to build a new application to support the planning process for new stores. for learning, sharing, and promoting diversity and inclusion in everything she participates in. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, Ms. Hollins obtained a bachelor’s degree in Eng- lish/secondary education from James Madison University in 1989 and taught in Newport News public schools. She changed careers in 1992.

Hollins spent seven years in production, 3D CAD and design lofting. In 1999, she graduated with honors from the Appren- tice School, earned a Journeyman’s card as a marine designer, and completed her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology at Norfolk’s Old Dominion University.


Other accomplishments during her 18-year engineering career include earning her lean certification, obtaining a Six Sigma Green Belt, and working to establish the Adventures in Engineering program — an educational event for children in grades four through eight.


Since 2003, Ms. Hollins has served as a project manager for various STEM awareness raising projects, including Super Engineering Saturday and Adven- tures of Engineering, which has hosted an annual event with the cooperation of the Hampton University chapter of the Society of Women Engineers for eight years.


She has also been an integral member of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding’s Professional Enhancement Series Advi- sory Board, speaking on various topics of professional and personal development skills.

Shipra graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer sci- ence and engineering from R.E.C. Durgapur, in India, in 1998. She started her career at L&T Infotech Ltd., and then served as a project manager, business analyst and on-site coordinator for the global leader in the “next generation” of IT and consult- ing, Infosys Technologies Limited, from 2001 to 2007.
